THE PROGRAM:
On Saturday, September 11th, 2010, an American flag should be displayed outside every home, apartment, office, and store in the United States . Every individual should make it their duty to display an American flag on this ninth anniversary of one our country's worst tragedies. We do this in honor of those who lost their lives on 9/11, their families, friends and loved ones who continue to endure the pain, and those who today are fighting at home and abroad to preserve our cherished freedoms.

In the days, weeks and months following 9/11, our country was bathed in American flags as citizens mourned the incredible losses and stood shoulder-to-shoulder against terrorism. Sadly, those flags have all but disappeared. Our patriotism pulled us through some tough times and it shouldn't take another attack to galvanize us in solidarity. Our American flag is the fabric of our country and together we can prevail over terrorism of all kinds.

Fly an American flag of any size on 9/11. Honestly, Americans should fly the flag year-round, but if you don't, then at least make it a priority on this day.

CONSTITUTION PARTY NATIONAL MEETING COMING UP

NOVEMBER 12 & 13 IN FORT WORTH, TEXAS.

The hotel chosen for the meeting is the Sheraton Fort Worth Hotel, 1701 Commerce Street, Fort Worth, TX 76102.

On Friday, November 12^th grab-and-go lunches will be available for under $10 per person. The National Committee meeting will start after lunch that same afternoon, Friday, November 12^th, no earlier than 1pm. Registration will begin at 11:30am. Only National Committee members and alternates may vote, but observers are absolutely welcome to come and learn more about the party.

There will be an Awards Banquet Friday evening.

The National meeting will reconvene on Saturday morning, November 13^th at 8:30am, lunch will be provided. The scheduled activities for the weekend will conclude by 5:30pm on Saturday.

Your reservation at the Sheraton Hotel includes a complimentary full Breakfast buffet for up to two people per guest room. Your meeting registration includes the banquet on Friday night and lunch on Saturday.

Registration is set at $185 for those whose registration is postmarked on or before October 12^th, $200 for those whose registration is postmarked after

October 12^th and before November 6^th, and $215 if postmarked after November 6^th or paid at the door and meals cannot be guaranteed for these late registrations. INSTITUTE ON THE CONSTITUTION: Kennewick and Prosser

In the next few weeks I will be giving classes in Prosser and the Tri-Cities on the Constitution as law and the Constitutional Republic as the form of civil government our Founding Fathers established. We have called this class in the past, "Institute on the Constitution.” It consists of twelve 30-minute lectures on DVD by John Eidsmoe. There will be ample time for questions, discussion and tests (and maybe a few good disagreements) we have compiled from past classes and provided in a Student Manual. I will be your course facilitator and general encourager as we banish ignorance from ruling over us and recover the truth that sets us free.

In late October, an Advanced Institute on the Constitution will be offered for those who have already completed the original course and are interested in deepening their knowledge of the development of ideas and principles used by the Founding Fathers in crafting this astounding document. We have had an increased number of requests from the many now beginning to realize We the People need to understand the rules for living in a civil society.

The course is free. Student manuals are optional and cost $35, which is what it costs me for duplication. Having said this, no one will be denied due to lack of funds. Provision will be made. George Washington has expressed our sentiment precisely:

"Truth will ultimately prevail where there is pains taken to bring it to light."

It's Almost Fair Time!

The Interstate Fair is just around the corner - September 10th through 19th, and we're gearing up for our annual Constitution Party booth. In preparation, a portion of our meeting this month will be dedicated to fair booth worker "training". It's a chance to see what materials we'll be offering, what our focus will be, and to ask any questions you might have about working in the booth.

Following the "training" we plan to show a 30-minute DVD titled "Overview of America", which we will likely be having on the fair booth table. I want to personally thank and congratulate our party's excellent candidates for Congress, Mary Ruth Edwards and Randall Yearout. Our candidates represented our cause well during the primary election and they did us proud as they carried our message to thousands who had not heard it before.

Equal thanks goes to those who supported our candidates. In reality, our candidates are merely the representatives of those who support them - representatives sent forth into the public arena to declare to our fellow citizens our views and values. This is one of the purest forms of freedom of speech and one of the most effective ways to exercise a form of positive peer pressure by letting our fellow citizens know what we believe and encouraging them to join us in returning to a righteous standard.

The Yearout for Congress campaign brought its "Honor God, Defend the Family, Restore the Republic" theme to the front door of thousands distributing nearly 10,000 campaign cards in parades and precinct canvassing activities. The campaign gathered in many new supporters who we hope to organize into active Constitution Party county groups in the coming months. Though not all the votes are counted yet, Randall appears to have doubled his percentage of the vote over two years ago. As your state chairman, I'm always happy to see growth of any kind, but doubling in two years is the kind of growth I like to see. Our goal now needs to be to find the thousands of new people who voted for our candidate and turn them into active supporters who can help propel us to new heights in the next election cycle.

While Randall Yearout was our top vote getter, Mary Ruth Edwards may be our greatest success story. When Mary Ruth discovered and came to the Constitution Party a little over a year ago, she was our only contact in her entire county. I don't think we had a dozen active supporters in her whole Congressional District at that time. Since then, Mary Ruth has become our Benton County Coordinator, taught several presentations of the Institute on the Constitution and has now run for Congress. In the course of this, Mary Ruth has generated many new supporters for our cause and brought awareness of our party's existence to thousands who were formerly unaware. In one year Mary Ruth has gone from zero contacts to work with, to 65 campaign endorsements listed on her website. She has also taken the Constitution Party from having never had a candidate for the U.S. House in the 4th District, to getting over 4,000 votes and still counting.

Our candidates not only got votes, represented us and declared our message, but most important of all, they gave the God honoring, freedom loving, Constitution upholding voters of the 4th and 5th Congressional Districts an opportunity to invest their votes in candidates who represented their values. Too often, we have been faced with a choice between compromising our values to vote for the lessor of two evils or simply not voting at all. Randall and Mary Ruth gave the voters of their districts an opportunity to invest the virtue of their vote in candidates of character.

As we now take a short breather, then begin to look forward to the 2012 election cycle, I want to encourage everyone who loves freedom enough to fight for it to consider offering yourself as a Constitution Party candidate in 2012. As this election cycle is finishing, we need to begin to identify, recruit and train Constitutionally sound candidates for every opening on the 2012 ballot - from county commissioner to state legislative races to Congress to Governor and other state-wide offices.

I realize I cannot speak for everyone, but I for one am no longer willing to desecrate my vote by giving it to candidates who do not represent my values. I will not give the empowering virtue of my vote to candidates who do not represent the bedrock principles of our Constitutional republic. And I will not mislead my fellow Americans into believing that the policies of the establishment candidates are acceptable by endorsing those candidates with my vote.

I hope you will encourage your friends and neighbors, anyone with a commitment to our Constitutional form of government, to follow the courageous examples of Randall and Mary Ruth and offer themselves as candidates in 2012. If we do not provide an alternative, who will?

Upcoming YEAROUT FOR CONGRESS Events!

Dear Yearout for Congress Supporters,
   Time is short and primary election day is almost upon us. We would like to get some more precincts canvassed in the next week and so have scheduled three more times to meet, get materials and assignments, and hit the streets.
   This Thursday evening, August 5th, we will meet at 6:00 in the parking lot of Shadle Park Library on Wellesley. Look for the red pickup truck with the big Yearout sign.
   This Saturday, August 7th, Randall will be riding in the Hillyard Festival "Hi-Jinks Parade" at 10:00 a.m. Volunteers are needed to walk alongside handing out campaign cards. If you would like to help we will meet in the staging area on Green Street (one block east of Market) between Broad and Queen. If you can't find us call 509-954-9335. At 1:00 we'll be meeting at Mission Park (across from Avista on Mission) to canvass that neighborhood. Again, you can look for the big Yearout sign in the parking lot next to the pool.
   On Monday, August 9th, starting at 9:00 a.m. we plan to "blanket" Airway Heights with campaign cards. We'll meet in the parking lot of Sunset Elementary School. From Highway 2, turn right at the next traffic light after you pass McDonald's and go one or two blocks. Sunset Elementary will be on your left.
   It takes work to get out Randall's message of constitutionally-limited government, and it can't get done without volunteers. We sincerely look forward to seeing you this week!

Randall Yearout, the 5th Congressional District's only 100% Constitutional candidate, will be in Clarkston tomorrow, Saturday, July 24, 6:00pm, at the Clarkston Heights Grange, 2220 Reservoir Rd. (from US Hwy 12, go south on WA Hwy 129 through downtown Clarkston, go 1.7mi to Fleshman Way, turn right, then go 1.2mi to WA Hwy 128, turn left, go 2mi). Randall will be riding in the Davenport Pioneer Days parade this coming Saturday, July 17th. We need a few smiling supporters to come on out and walk along the parade route with Randall's vehicle passing out campaign cards. We're also having a Constitution Party/Yearout for Congress booth in the vendor area and could use two more volunteers to man it. The parade starts at 11:00 a.m., so parade volunteers are asked to arrive by 10:30. Look for the Yearout team in the staging area at the Strate Funeral Home parking lot at the intersection of Highway 2 and 10th Street. Booth volunteers would start at 10:00 a.m. and the shift will last until 12:30 p.m.. If you need help finding the booth please call Kelli's cell phone at 951-9271. Join the Americans who have drawn a line in the sand and are gearing up to host simultaneous screenings of the new film "Don't Tread On Me: Rise of the Republic" on Saturday June 26th.

Film makers William Lewis and Gary Franchi are spearheading the action by asking grassroots activists and constitutional advocates from across the country to hold screenings in their home, public library, or local cinema.

Franchi, the film’s producer, intends to send shockwaves through the American consciousness with this one day simultaneous screening to educate and activate Americans on one of the key solutions to restoring our constitutional republic. William Lewis, director of the film, advocates strongly for the 10th Amendment as that solution along with clarifying the real meaning of the 2nd Amendment.

Every campaign has its ups and downs. Currently, with the filing deadline looming at 5:00 p.m. on Friday, June 11, 2010 my campaign - Edwards for Congress - is in a slump - one that could result in the name Mary Ruth Edwards not being on the primary ballot in August.
This money bomb is specifically targeting the filing fee, and helping to ensure that my name gets on the ballot. The current economy has affected everyone. It seems that everywhere you turn, someone else is asking for your financial assistance. I know. I've been asked to support many worthy causes in the past several weeks.

I'm asking you to once more contribute $5, $10, $20 or whatever small amount you can, to help me make a change in Congress. It starts by being in the "Top 2" in the primary on August 17th. In order to be on the ballot in August, I must hand $1,740 to the State Attorney General's office no later than 5:00 p.m. on Friday, June 11. That is just 23 days away. My monetary goal is to generate $1,100 via this money bomb on June 1st. Any monies above and beyond the filing fee will go towards campaign signs.

In all the work and chaos, it has been made known that we all need a day of temporary relief from the work we are putting in. A day to refresh and let our hair down before we head into summer with the November Elections in hard focus.

You are invited to join us on June 5th 2010 at EMERALD DOWNS in Auburn, WA for live racing and fun, patriotic discussion among like-mindeds from our state.

     The Institute on the Constitution Northwest will be starting our six week, eighteen hour course, "The Constitution: It's Foundation and Principles." This lecture series presented by constitutional law professor, John Eidsmoe and hosted by John Beal, is designed to help individuals across America understand their own history and to more fully appreciate their own heritage.
     We believe that by understanding the way in which the framers of our Constitutioal Republic viewed their relationship to God, to each other, to the various states and to other nations, we can gain valuable insight into the foundational principles of America and the difficulties that face us in this time and the times to come.
     We hope to encourage individuals, families, churches, legislatures, civic and other organizations to become conversant with the foundational principles on which American civil government and proper jurisprudence rest. We believe that, so informed and educated, the American people will be empowered to take an active and meaningful role in the biblical jurisdictions of family, church and civil government.

John A. Eidsmoe is well qualified to present this 12-part lecture series. A Lt. Colonel in the U.S. Air Force Reserve, he holds degrees in theology, law, and political science. Former Congressman Virgil Goode, who represented the 5th congressional district of Virginia from 1997 to 2009, will be making his second appearance before a Constitution Party National Committee audience in less than a year when he addresses the the gala, April 30, Friday night Banquet held in conjunction with the party's National Committee Meeting and Conference to be held April 30/May1, in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

Goode's appearance at the 2009 CP National Meeting in Newark, New Jersey last June was a tremendous success, as the former Virginia Congressman was a big hit with the Constitution Party faithful. Moreover that event seems have made a positive impression on the former Congressman, as well, as he has demonstrated sincere interest in the Constitution Party since that meeting in a variety of ways.

Many of the party's leaders around the country are encouraging Congressman Goode to make the Constitution Party his new political home.

Goode was elected to Congress as a Democrat in 1996. In 2000 he became an independent, then switched to the Republican Party in 2002. He supported GOP presidential candidate Congressman Ron Paul in 2008. The same year he lost his bid for re-election to Congress by only 727 votes. The former Congressman's political journey seems to reflect of the feelings of a growing number of Americans who are putting principles ahead of partisan political considerations. More and more of these dissatisfied American voters have been finding their way to the Constitution Party in recent months!

The Spring 2010 National meeting of the Constitution Party will be held Friday, April 30th and Saturday, May 1st at the Embassy Suites Minneapolis Airport Hotel, 7901 – 34th Avenue South, Bloomington, MN 55425. There is a free airport shuttle and a free shuttle to the Mall of The Americas, so bring the family.
All are welcome! In other words, this is a National Committee Meeting, but it is also much more just that. You will want to miss this event whether or not you serve on the National Committee.

On Saturday former Texas Congressman Steve Stockman will give us the benefit of his extensive experience in six hours of intensive campaign and fundraising training. Some of you may remember him from our Tampa, Florida meeting. In addition to being a member of the revolutionary freshman class of the 104th Congress in 1994, Congressman Stockman has a B.A. in accounting, has served as a senior corporate accountant, vice-president of a National Bank, president of a fiber optics company, VP of Executive Development for the Leadership Institute, and as a consultant and advisor to various local and national campaigns.

If you're a candidate or thinking about running for office, or if you want to get involved in the fight to take back our country then come to this meeitng and meet like-minded people from all over the country and get the training you need to move forward. Yes, we know funding is more difficult than ever, but how about pooling resources, or having a yard sale or washing some cars? Participating in the Constitution Party’s national meetings provides new energy and life to all who attend and we all need the benefit of some fresh ideas and renewed training!

The National Committee meeting will start after lunch on Friday, April 30th, no earlier than 1pm. Registration will begin at 11:30am. There will be a banquet Friday evening. The banquet speaker will be announced soon. Stay tuned.

The meeting will reconvene on Saturday morning, May 1st at 8:30am. The scheduled activities for the weekend will conclude by 5:30pm on Saturday.

The agenda has not been set, so starting and ending times are subject to minor changes.
The Embassy Suites includes a complimentary cooked-to-order breakfast with your hotel room reservation. Your meeting registration includes the banquet on Friday night and lunch on Saturday.
Registration is set at $165 for those whose registration is postmarked on or before April 7th , $180 for those whose registration is postmarked after April 7th and before April 23rd, and $200 if postmarked after April 22nd or paid at the door and meals cannot be guaranteed for these late registrations. As is our great tradition, the early bird catches the discount!

Registration for students 12 and over is $105. Children under 12 are welcome to attend free of charge, but no meals are included.

Registration for the Friday night banquet only is $50, and for Saturday only is $45 with lunch included.

January 30th will be the day we start another class on the Constitution as law and the Constitutional Republic as the form of civil government our Founding Fathers established. We have called this class in the past, "Christianity and the Law of the Land," and "Christianity and the Constitution." It consists of twelve 30 minute lectures on DVD by John Eidsmoe. There will be ample time for questions, discussion and tests (and maybe a few good disagreements) we have compiled from past classes and provided in a Students Manual. I will be your in house instructor and general encourager as we banish ignorance from ruling over us and recover the truth that sets us free.

The class will be from 9 am to 12 pm on Saturday mornings and will meet at the Corbin Senior Activity Center at 827 W. Cleveland. Meeting dates are: 1/30, 2/13, 20, 27; 3/13, 20, 27. We are unable to use the facility on Saturday, 3/6 and I am out of town on 2/6 (Teaparty Convention in Nashville).
The cost is $70 and includes a Student Manual. Those who have taken the class before and would like a refresher are free ( a free will offering helps with expenses not met by the cost). Couples are $85 and 18 and under free. Having said this, no one will be denied due to lack of funds. Provision will be made. George Washington has expressed our sentiment precisely:
"Truth will ultimately prevail where there is pains taken to bring it to light."
We are also considering another class during the week. We have had an increased number of requests from the many now beginning to realize we the people need to understand the rules for living in a civil society. We also have a class "The Five Thousand Leap," we will be presenting in the Spring.

About John Eidsmoe
Dr. Eidsmoe holds degrees in law, theology, and political science and is licensed to practice law in several States. Currently, John works for the Alabama Supreme Court as a constitutional attorney and consultant. A practicing attorney, he has successfully argued constitutional issues before several state Supreme Courts. In addition to speaking at seminars around the U.S., Dr. Eidsmoe serves as Lt. Colonel in the U.S. Air Force Reserve and on the national Board of the Plymouth Rock Foundation. In 1973 and again in 1988, Professor Eidsmoe received the George Washington Honor Medal presented by the Freedom Foundation at Valley Forge, PA. John is the author of twelve published books on historic constitutional and religious topics. Just for fun, John is a state champion karate master and rides horses every chance he gets.

About John Beal
John Beal resides in Spokane with his wife of 40 years, Margo. They have two daughters and four grandchildren. After working for 32 years as a design consultant and contractor specializing in exterior remodelling, John recently retired to serve the campaign of former Chief Justice Roy Moore in his quest for governor of the state of Alabama. You may recall Judge Moore as "the 10 commandments Judge" who lost his battle with the state over the question, "Can the state acknowledge God?"
John has years of active service in teaching the Bible, America's Christian history, the nature and source of law and government and working for Biblical justice in the Spokane community. From defending the unborn to teaching prisoners the meaning of freedom, responsibility and the role of husbands and fathers. From discipling converts of the Franklin Graham Crusade to advising running for public office, John's passion has been to see Jesus lifted up in the individual, the family, the church and state, thus contending for the crown rights of King Jesus.
In addition John has served as Regional Director for the Plymouth Rock Foundation, a national ministry and it's local expression, the Christian Committees of Correspondence, both an educational effort to affirm God's design for self and civil government.
John offers two courses to this end: Christianity and the Law of the Land, a 12 part video seminar taught by Dr. John Eidsmoe and God and Government: A Biblical and Historical Account. It was through these two studies that John's understanding of Christ's Lordship was profoundly enhanced, his appreciation for the Bible deeply enriched and his love for law and liberty realized.

We need one person for each district that would be willing to make a sign (preferably on 20"x30" foam board) with their legislative district number and the larger cities in that district printed on it. Should it be rainy, I would suggest wrapping the sign with saran wrap. We want our legislators to be able to find their constituents and make it easy to people to connect with others from their district! We need 6-8 LEGISLATIVE ACTION GUIDES who know the capitol campus well and that want to assist patriots in finding their legislators offices during the Sovereignty Winter Fest. Our intention is not to storm the capitol, but to file through in an orderly fashion. PLEASE help us out as we want to ensure that everyone that wants to drop off a letter or speak with their legislator can. Health Care, Cap and Trade, A failed stimulus package, a second stimulus package on the horizon, net neutrality, terrorists in criminal court, and NO Christmas..... I have had it! I want to ensure I keep my freedom and make certain I maintain it for future generations.

HOW DO WE MAKE IT HAPPEN? State Sovereignty - our last line of defense. Why Sovergenty? The 10th Amendment"The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people." "We the People" want our Freedom! I am asking all Freedom Loving Patriots from across our state to STAND WITH ME for FREEDOM at the Sovereignty Winter Fest.

WHY JANUARY 14TH?January 14th was chosen because it is the first week of the 60 day State legislative session. We must charge our state legislators to reaffirm State Sovereignty (HJM 4009), to support Health Care nullification (like Arizona), to endorse the Firearms Freedom Act (like Montana), and to put forth Sheriff First legislation before they get off track. We must insist our state legislators STAND for FREEDOM. We want them to uphold the 10th Amendment of the Constitution and take their Oath of Office seriously. We want them to know that we are armed with our Constitution, with our vote, and with our numbers! We will assemble at the State Capital. The lawsuit made it all the way to the Supreme Court, which ruled that the provision was indeed unconstitutional as a violation of the Tenth Amendment principles of federalism. Richard Mack is the former sheriff of Graham County, Arizona, and a long-time crusader for freedom and individual rights. In 1994, he filed the lawsuit challenging the Brady bill to stop the federal government from forcing another unfunded mandate down the throats of state and local governments and won. This suit catapulted him to national attention, with television appearances and over 500 radio talk shows nationwide, Sheriff Mack has traveled the country extensively and has seen first hand the horrible side effects from politicians who have replaced our Constitution with their own political agendas and party platforms. He lectures on constitutional issues relating to gun control, law enforcement, States’ rights, the drug war, and the oath of office.

Idaho State Representative Phil Hart. Phil is a Kootenai County businessman who owns and operates Alpine Engineering in Hayden, Idaho and is a licensed civil and structural engineer in 11 states. He holds a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from the University of Utah and an MBA from the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania. Phil is the author of the book Constitutional Income: Do You Have Any? He represents the 3rd Legislative District in Idaho.

Washington State Representative Matt Shea. Matt is a cum laude graduate of the Gonzaga University School of Law and is an attorney in private practice. He earned a commission in the U.S. Army after completing the Gonzaga ROTC program, and served combat tours in Bosnia and Iraq. Every few years the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) evaluates Ecology's implementation of Washington's Coastal Zone Management Program (CZMP). The Washington CZMP primarily consists of Ecology’s work in shoreline management, wetlands protection, and other regulatory and technical work conducted in Washington’s 15 coastal counties. NOAA's next evaluation of Washington’s CZMP will be undertaken during September of 2009. The evaluation will cover the period from September 2004 to August 2009. Citizen comments are encouraged and may be in writing or verbally at a public meeting. Background information on Washington's CZMP is available below to help you comment.

Due to circumstances beyond his control, however, he was unable to return from Overseas in time to appear at that meeting. Dr. Corsi is one of the most well informed and articulate political writers in America and his personal speaking engagements are all anticipated with great eagerness. He was the first in the media to highlight the plight of Border Agents Ramos and Compean as well as the Obama Birth Certificate (or lack thereof) issue. He is consistently bringing new and important stories to the attention of the American People!

JOEL SKOUSEN

Joel Skousen is a political scientist, by training, specializing in the philosophy of law and Constitutional theory, and is also a designer of high security residences and retreats. He has designed Self-sufficient and High Security homes throughout North America, and has consulted in Central America as well. His latest book in this field is Strategic Relocation--North American Guide to Safe Places, and is active in consulting with persons who need to relocate for security and increased self-sufficiency. He also assists people who need to live near a large city to develop contingency retreat plans involving rural farm or recreation property.
Joel was raised in Oregon and later served as a fighter pilot for the US Marine Corps during the Vietnam era prior to beginning his design firm specializing in high security residences and retreats. SPOKANE AUGUST MEETING

This month's meeting will primarily be devoted to preparation for our party's booth at the Spokane County Fair, September 11-20. We will be providing instructions and training for those who have volunteered to work at our booth during the ten days of the fair. We want to give our fair booth workers a chance to get familiar with the materials that will be on our table and to learn some of the procedures and policies. While this meeting is not mandatory for fair booth workers, it is certainly encouraged and will be of particular benefit to those who have never worked in our fair booth before.

Non fair booth workers are encouraged to attend as well. This will be a good opportunity to see some of our party materials that you may not be familiar with and to get better informed, or to get equipped with materials to share with others. Meeting date and location is:

The Secretary of Health and Human Services expects the federal government to start a voluntary vaccination program against the 2009 H1N1 (swine flu) virus this fall.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and state and local health partners are developing plans for the vaccination program. A public dilemma being faced is whether the US should adopt a full-throttle, go slow, or intermediate intensity program.

The CDC wants the public to discuss how intense a national immunization effort should be. The CDC will consider this input as it makes recommendations about the upcoming program.

Space is limited. Registration is required and you must be able to attend the meeting for the entire day.

A week after saying he would not hold town hall meetings because of health care reform protest tactics he compared to Nazis Brownshirts, U.S. Rep. Brian Baird issued a statement Wednesday expressing regret for his comments.Baird, D-Vancouver, also announced that he would hold a series of five town hall meetings to reach out to constituents and discuss issues facing the nation. The first announced town hall is scheduled for 7 to 9:30 p.m. Tuesday at Skyview High School, 1300 NW 139th St., Vancouver.
"Frankly, I have had concerns about how we can have constructive dialogue and, unfortunately, in response to some of the things we've been seeing across the nation I have said some things myself that I regret," Baird said in a press release issued Wednesday. "My hope and trust is that we can have the kinds of informative exchanges that I have valued for so long and that reveal the very best of public discourse."Baird, who described himself as "a huge advocate of town halls" said the public sessions would be in addition to the his planned August schedule, which includes several telephone town halls aimed at reaching "thousands of people who would otherwise not be able to come to a town hall meeting.""Congressman Baird will also hold a series of private, focused meetings with doctors, nurses, small business owners, and health care clinic administrators to go into more detail about specifics of the proposed legislation and how it would affect health care in our communities," the release said.

V. Request report from the Rep. who introduced the last States Rights bill. History, writing the bill – who wrote it, the legislators who supported it, introduction procedure, list of sponsors in the House, individuals who supported his bill, etc.

VI. Name of guy who heads the committee – the one who wouldn’t let the bill out. Discover, investigate his background, voting record, how many mistresses he kept, wife’s influence on him, children, his likes, dislikes, other personal characteristics. Who else is on that committee, who is his receptionist, What District is he from, who do we know that live in his district? Would you call this a dossier? Is there anybody that would like to sue him?

VII. What are all the WHEREAS’S to justify, support the resolution we construct?

VIII. Who in the Sec. of State’s office can help us write the resolution?

IX. Is an Initiative a parallel option to pursue? Who will support our effort financially?

X. What else can we anticipate – problems, extraordinary assistance, funding, resistance, prosecution, obligation of the WA State to comply with U.S. Gov’t bills, any such limitations in the WA State Constitution.

COST OF GOVERNMENT DAY: It's Time to PUSH BACK

Cost of Government Day (COGD) - n. the date of the calendar year, counting from January 1, on which the average American has earned enough in cumulative gross income to pay for his or her share of government spending (total federal, state, and local) plus the cost of regulation.
August 17th will be a landmark day for Washington in 2009. It is the day that our state's people can finally stop working to pay for their government and begin working for themselves. The amazing thing about this date is that it falls almost a FULL MONTH later than last year's COG Day on July 22, 2008. Friends, our government's spending is out of control and we need to do SOMETHING about it.

With our state legislators back in their local areas and our congressional representatives home on recess, we have a unique opportunity to address this issue with them face-to-face. With that in mind, the Citizen Action Network is launching a state-wide effort to have our members join with other grassroots activists and personally meet with their representatives at their local office.

We are asking people to form groups and show up at their legislators' offices on August 17th, 2009 at 12:00pm, ready to ask a couple of questions regarding Cost of Government Day (you can call ahead and schedule an appointment). The goal is to raise legislator awareness of how much they are truly spending and hold them accountable to bringing that amount down. They need to know that citizens are not going to sit idly by while our country spends itself into oblivion.

To aid in this effort, the Citizen Action Network has created a webpage to serve as a hub for information. Right now, at www.effcan.org, you can find:

This month, Randall Yearout will be giving us a look into the book, “The 5000 Year Leap,” and the importance of understanding the principles contained in it. Authored by W. Cleon Skousen, The 5000 Year Leap looks at 28 fundamental beliefs of the Founding Fathers which they said must be understood and perpetuated by everyone who desires peace, prosperity, and freedom. These beliefs have made possible more progress in 200 years than was made previously in over 5,000 years. Thus the title "The 5,000 Year Leap".
Though it has been around for a number of years, this book has now suddenly become the popular rage. The book has long enjoyed support in certain select Constitutional circles, but it has recently become the #1 bestseller in Amazon.com's Government category, and ranks #20 on Amazon.com's overall list of bestselling books and is promoted regularly by popular talk radio host, Glenn Beck.

This Independence Day, you can celebrate freedom with fellow liberty loving Americans and help promote the Constitution Party and the teaching of the principles of liberty at the same time at an event being promoted by the Spokane TEA Party organizers, but - WE NEED YOUR HELP!A teacher of the Institute on the Constitution and founding father of the Constitution Party of Spokane County, John Beal, has been invited to speak at a July 4th TEA Party barbecue (bring your own food - there are plenty of barbecues) at Plantes-Ferry County Park (directions at bottom of message), this Saturday, 1pm to 4pm. John will be using this opportunity to promote his upcoming presentation of the Institute on the Constitution scheduled to begin July 11, 8:30am to 11:00am, at the Corbin Senior Center, 827 W. Cleveland Ave, Spokane (6 week course, $50 registration, $65 couples, $20 for study manual, register or get more info at 326-0171 or jbeal08@comcast.net).We have an opportunity to set up a Constitution Party table at this event, stock it with promotional materials, and sign people up for John's class. What we need is:

A volunteer to take some Constitution Party materials and set up a display table (we will provide the materials - would be appreciated if someone could provide a table).
Volunteers to man the table, hand out materials and sign people up for John's IOTC classes. It would be nice to have several volunteers so you could take turns barbecuing and socializing.

For my Eagle Scout project, I am hosting a constitutional seminar by the NCCS (National Center for Constitutional Studies). They are a nonprofit, nonpartisan educational organization. Guns shows are coming to Washington beginning in June! Now is the time to volunteer to do a booth to introduce the Constitution Party platform of 100% pro-Second Amendment to a like-minded audience who may not have yet had the opportunity to hear our message.

The 2nd Amendment strictly limits any interference with gun ownership by saying: "A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right
of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed."
The right to bear arms is inherent in the right of self defense, defense of the family, and defense against tyranny, conferred on the individual and the community by our Creator to safeguard life, liberty, and property, as well as to help preserve the independence of the nation.
The right to keep and bear arms is guaranteed by the Second Amendment to the Constitution; it may not properly be infringed upon or denied.
The Constitution Party upholds the right of the citizen to keep and bear arms. We
oppose attempts to prohibit ownership of guns by law-abiding citizens, and stand
against all laws which would require the registration of guns or ammunition.
We emphasize that when guns are outlawed, only outlaws will have them. In such circumstances, the peaceful citizen's protection against the criminal would be seriously jeopardized.
We call for the repeal of all federal firearms legislation, beginning with Federal Firearms Act of 1968.
We call for the rescinding of all executive orders, the prohibition of any future executive orders, and the prohibition of treaty ratification which would in any way limit the right to keep and bear arms.

Spokane County May Meeting to Feature STATE REPRESENTATIVE MATT SHEA!

We are honored to have a very special guest speaker for our May meeting, 4th Legislative District Representative, Matt Shea. Rep. Shea is a rare find in today's political climate and is one of the handful, or less, of elected representatives in our state who has demonstrated a sound understanding of the proper role of civil government. Quite appropriately, he will be speaking to us on the topic of “Constitutionalism.”

A fourth-generation resident of Eastern Washington and cum laude graduate of Gonzaga University School of Law, Matt is currently an attorney in private practice. He earned a commission in the U.S. Army after completing the Gonzaga ROTC program, and served combat tours in Bosnia and Iraq.

Matt is a co-founder of the Washington Family Foundation, which later merged with the Family Policy Institute of Washington. He is an allied attorney with the Alliance Defense Fund (ADF), a nationwide network of attorneys dedicated to preserving religious freedom.

INSTITUTE ON THE CONSITUTION

AJ and Kelli Burton invite all those interested in learning more about the U.S. Constitution and the Christian founding of our country to attend the Institute on the Constitution. The Institute will be held Saturdays beginning May 2nd and continue through June 13th, with the exception of May 23rd when they won’t meet due to the Memorial Day weekend.

Because they will be doubling up the lessons to be done in six weeks rather than 12 weeks, class will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Corbin Senior Center, 827 West Cleveland Avenue in Spokane. The May 9th class will be at a different location ( to be announced at the first class meeting ). The class is free, but the cost of the optional study book is $30 and anyone desiring a book should contact the Burtons at 299-7428 or kellib@att.net to order one by Monday, April 27th.
